I have been checking the BlackBerry web site community boards, and the party line is that it is up to the application developer to make sure they work with OS7, as if RIM has no responsibility at all in the process.

Why would you need google search when the Blackberry will search a lot of locations including Google.
Make google your default search engine in your browser and when you speak into the mic you will see a browser globe with google written under it. Click it.
