Hey all, I just wanted to pass this information along to all of you getting the new Bold 9930 from Sprint so you don't make the same mistake that I did. If you purchase through Sprint.com or the store, the new Bold 9930 does not come with a micro SD card at all. So, before you purchase one, talk to a rep and see if they would be willing to throw one in since it isn't included. Target.com offers a 2GB micro SD card with the purchase of a Bold 9930 for Sprint and I also believe Walmart and other retailers also offer a card with your purchase. So my best advice would be to either chat with a Sprint rep or just go through a retailer since they do offer a micro SD card with your purchase.
i knew this from the get go...its cool...ive been using a 16gb microSD since i had my bold 9650...it would be nice if it was included...but no biggie...
Yeah, it would be nice if they included a card but since I still have the 32GB card from when I bought the Thunderbolt I'm not concerned. Stinks, but not that big a deal.
Can I use the 4GB microSD that I've been using in my 9650? My 9930 is coming today and I didn't know it did not come with a card.
Absolutely. Be sure to copy anything you want to save onto another storage device. I'm not sure if it will require you to format (and erase) the card. Mine did, but I just took it out of a Droid.
Thanks for the heads up! I'm going to get my 9930 on Wed and I'm going to try and see if they'll throw it in.. doubt it but nothing beats a fail but a try.
Going from BlackBerry to BlackBerry it should be a plug and play operation. I've run my 8 gig card from Curve to Tour to Style without a re-formatting.
