Has anyone experienced this... it will just scroll up by itself... very annoying.. browser, BBM, facebook/twitter app.. does it randomly, not all the time
This happened on my Torch. I had to send it in for repair. It was very quick turnaround, less than a week. Take it back to the Rogers dealer and they should be able to handle it.
Was there anyway to fix it without returning the device?

I called Rogers, they told me to re-install the OS, I did and nothing, they have shipped me a new Bold 9900 as they said the one I have is considered DOA - Dead On Arrival....Just waiting for new one to arrive.

I have the same issue with my 9900 and the problem is that it happens rarely and my carrier didn't accept it back as they say that they couldn't find any problem with it. Is there a fix?
Thanks
My Bold 9900 does this to me in direct sunlight. Very annoying and I'm considering taking it back to AT&T because I purchased the warranty on it to get a new Bold. I've had 3 BlackBerries (Curve 8900 and Torch 9800) and never experienced this sort of problem (even though the Curve had a trackball).
Direct sunlight used to do this on my 9700 and 9780.. not sure if it's relative here but it never "just happened" unless it was related to sunlight.
I just got my 9900 today and after playing with it inside, downloading and updating apps and so on, I experienced nothing but pure bliss. I was quickly falling in love THEN I went outside! In direct sunlight the phone wouldn't stop scrolling down. I went from bliss to pissed faster then ever before.
That anger was over just as soon as I walked in my patio doors. I've been using it for the past hour and no issue.
This happened to my first 9930 in September. I went back and forth with Verizon at least 4 times and finally figured out it was just an overly sensitive trackpad. My replacement did not have that issue at all. You will notice that the trackpad will scroll if you put your finger close but not touching. I realized that sometimes after i would swipe down that i would slightly move my finger above the trackpad in an upward motion and it would send the thing scrolling to the top everytime.
Just called AT&T and they are going to be sending me a new Bold. I even restored the phone's software as they told me to and the problem still occured. It is a hardware issue... Not that I didn't think that before...
