Not because of the processor, but because of the memory. The Curve 8520 doesn't have the required built-in memory for running os 6, so the answer is NO.

As diegonei mentions above, another reason why searching is helpful. The 9300, 9700 and 91XX all have 256mb application memory, which is the same as the 8520.
Because RIM said the only devices that were getting OS6 were 9800, 9650, 9300, 9100, 9700, 9780, 9670
