I am really interested in any storm 2 users who bought the 9930..... I solely use suretype in portrait on my storm 2.... I am ready to bite on the 9930, but am very concerned about transitioning to the 9930 keyboard.

Do you find it just as fast to type with the physical keyboard?

had storm 1 and 2 till i got the bold 9650 a few months ago, the physical KB will take a little bit to get used to but i like it a lot more then the virtual KB

I'm in the same boat as you...got my Bold this morning, and have been playing with it for the better part of the day. It definitely takes some getting used to, but I think I'm going to like it better than the Storm in no time.

This thing is an absolute BEAST of a phone, compared to the Storm...so maybe that's motivating me to figure the keyboard out a little quicker, lol.

I had storm I and II. Also had the Bold 9650. Took me a while to get used to the 9650 after the Storms. But the 9930 will be much easier to get used to. The 9930 keys are bigger than the 9650. Great Phone.

It is a million times better than the Storm keyboard...

I had a Storm 1, 9630, Droid Incredible, Droid Thunderbolt, and now Bold 9930. There is no question that the typing and OS experience (because of keyboard shortcuts) is better on the 9930 over the Storm.

i share the same concerns as op. had storm 1 and storm 2 and love suretype. bold arrives in the morning.

I had no problem moving from 9550 to 9650. Surepress was awful.

Yeah its not until you experience the benefit of the keyboard shortcuts in the UI that you really appreciate BB...

In the menu's you can jump around by pressing letters.
You can often skip the menu's all together by using keyboard buttons...

From homescreen:

a: contacts
u: calculator
o: options
d: documents
g: gchat
l: calendar
del: delete
c: compose
b: browser
n: BBM
$: speaker on / off
m: messages
s: search

in most all apps (browser, sms, documents, ect)

space: pagedown
t: top
b: bottom
i: zoom in
o: zoom out
f: find

in SMS / Email:
c: compose
delete: delete
f: forward
r: reply

in Facebook:
f: friends

The shortcuts go on and on... that's just what I could think of on the top of my head.

wasn't aware of those shortcuts....damn that can shave a bunch of seconds off of things...so tempted to get the 9930 now over the 9850...ughh

Had Storm 1 & 2. Not regretting getting the 9930 one bit. It is a pleasure typing now.

I have a quick question for you guys.

Does the BB app newsfeed different from the rss feed in the social feed app? If it is, how do i get all me feeds transferred?

Missed all of os6 so i am sort of lost on the social app.
