I just called the store at 818-500-0804. They cannot answer (don't know anything) any question about the 3G bands of the phone. One guy said it is "Bell branded" to convince me at will work with AT&T's 3G band and then said "I didn't say bell-branded but said "unbraded"". Will not tell the product code (model number). If you call them then don't give them your carrer name (then they will try to convince you that the phone will work with your carrer).
Bad/Negative experience. In fact, I am feeling pretty upset. The guy became quite rude when I asked him the details technical specifications (3G bands). He expects we should trust him and pay top $ for his words. Be careful out there.
I thought it was kind of odd that RIM packed it's "thin new phone" in such a large clunky box - one would have thought it would have packaged it in a way similar to the way apple packs their iphone.
It almost looks like RIM bought boxes from a company that went out of business that made alternators or something like that and got a deal?
Is that even the real box these phones come in - that video could be a scam!
