Thanks for taking the time to get the pics up! I can't wait until the time comes when we see them branded with at&t on the back (hopefully soon).

WOW! I have to say I really like the buttons on that device

what are your opinions on them?

how do you like the phone against the 9900?

that would be a nice review comparing the 9900 to the 9850
    how similar are they!

greg: is there a reason the 9900 did not pick up H+? For either the 9900 or 9860, under "Mobile Network Options", is it still just 2G and/or 3G?

Ok, it is well known that I'm not a touchscreen fan, but you can tell that device is meant to be held. Tapers, curves, textures, it just, mmm, beckons to be touched, caressed....mmmmm....oh,uh....I....

    Nevermind!

To be honest, I think the new touch BB is ugly.

I find that the current Storm 2 is MUCH better looking, but that's just my opnion

The lense on the 9850 looks a lot bigger than the 9530/9550s. I'm hoping it brings improved lighting than before.

It seems mostly EVERYTHING has been upgraded on these new BB7 phones. How exciting.

    I have seen worst!

You know one of the first things I did was hold the phone in a death grip to see if it made any big difference in RF, it did not seem too. The 9900 and 9860 have good reception.

WOW! I have to say I really like the buttons on that device

what are your opinions on them?

The buttons work good. They are slightly raised so you can feel them. I have a Galaxy S2 and their buttons are nice, too. Both work well, just different.

greg: is there a reason the 9900 did not pick up H+? For either the 9900 or 9860, under "Mobile Network Options", is it still just 2G and/or 3G?
My version of the 9900 is not branded AT&T. I suspect the AT&T model will do H+ or 3.5G. Carrier software will be customized for each phone version.

oh yea greg we will see people masturbating it out on seeing these.and the iphone 4 and monaco;blackberry bold 9780 and monaco having phone sex together.nice thread title,it all makes sense.but hey got to hand it to rim they got a winner with this one.such a sexy device.but is it just me or is there a difference of the front and back side of the monaco.the front looks larger in size and the back looks smaller on size.why is that?other than that,im getting phone envy now.
I am hoping people keep things in perspective and understand that I am a conservative Republican and my phones are NEVER left alone in the same drawer!

The "H+" I assume stands for HSDPA+, but cool to see nonetheless...
I think you are right and the H+ is used to save space.

Ok, it is well known that I'm not a touchscreen fan, but you can tell that device is meant to be held. Tapers, curves, textures, it just, mmm, beckons to be touched, caressed....mmmmm....oh,uh....I....

Stop it! You are going to hurt yourself!!!
The 9860 has a great feel in the hand. It has good weight and fits nicely in portrait and landscape modes. One complaint I had about my Samsung Galaxy S2 is it is so light it does not feel like serious hardware and yet it is still one of the most capable pieces of hardware out there.

Thank you SO MUCH for posting these pictures up!

To each his own. RIM can not make everyone happy with one device. That is why RIM is going to give you a selection to choose from!

Monaco looks great next to the iphone.

And the Bold 99XX looks amazing as well.

RIM has a couple of winners here. We must only pick which one we want.

The lense on the 9850 looks a lot bigger than the 9530/9550s. I'm hoping it brings improved lighting than before.

It seems mostly EVERYTHING has been upgraded on these new BB7 phones. How exciting.
I will try to do some images from the iPhone 4, 9900 and 9860 for comparison and post on my pBase site for judgment.
