Any other info you can provide about how you came upon this? Can you report on mobile hotspot functionality?

well i hope that UPC code isnt connected to who ever sold it because they will trace it back to the employee/tester.

wonder if the pin will go dead.

the silver and black is not bad as first thought.all around a very nice device.it fits the best of both worlds metaphor.the torch form factor is not new for me because i tried the 9800 when it was launched.many downplay the slider mechanism, buts its not that bad once you get used to it.im looking forward to testing out a 9810 when it arrives on at&t.

that and employee/tester looses their job.... so its a terrible idea to post it on the web... benefits no one (not even rim).

Solid. That's the one feature I desperately need and hate having to rely on my Atrix for it.

It would better if there was a separate forum for the Torch Touch since it is a different device. The 9900 is also another touchscreen device that deserves its own forum as it is a 9000 updated device and form factor. The Torch 2 is an update of the original Torch thus the name of this sub-forum.

I believe that the Monza forum is for the Torch Touch or S3.

There is a 9900 sub-forum as well. Haven't had my first cup of coffee yet. My point was that if the T2 doesn't meet your needs that there are other RIM devices or other device platforms from which to choose and comment on. Not trying to discourage exchange of ideas or opinions but it is getting tiring to be reading posts about the T2 being doomed before it is released. It is also not uncommon for pre-release devices to make their way into the market but I believe that the T2 slider will released later this year on AT&T in the US first.

any idea how the keyboard is? I am hoping for a softer one like the original bold 9000, that would make this device almost perfect in my eyes...also, any HD recording?

    It's a part number, that's all.

    For example: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6690501/IMG_20110719_091612.jpg

As for the PINS, it depends on which revision the hardware is .. if it's final, they might live on. If they're not final, they'll most likely be killed.

Did anyone notice the H+ next to 3G? Is this mean the 9850 will be landing to AT&T too?

It's funny that the Torch 9810 won't be supporting HSPA+
