I read somewhere it will accept cards up to 16 gigs in the slot. I thought it was a microsd slot AND i didn't think there were even 16 gig microsd cards....

    Whats the deal?

I also read over the net that it supports up to 16GB memory card, but on another thread I mentioned that it only supports up to 8GB M/C. This info I got from Rim itself when I got the Bold for field testing. I will have to follow up on this to get the correct info.

OK, as of right now the largest Micro SDHC card made is 8GB. However, the Bold has support for up to 16GB so that it will accept cards when they are made.

Panasonic makes a 32GB SDHC Class 6 Memory Card but it is $599.99 CDN @ Future Shop. There are also a lot of 16GB cards prices from $119.99 CDN to $279.99 depending on the brand and class.

Those cards aren't micro's though are they? I heard a few months ago that a 32GB SD card was out but not a micro.

i believe you are correct, i dont think 16gb and 32gb are available to consumer market in microsd yet, on regular sd cards have that capacity at the moment.
