Ok great. I'm at 7% after 10 minutes. It doesn't look promising. Hope the later part of the download comes quicker.

It did seem to take forever to dload it for me, but I might have been having dsl or wifi issues also. I bet that because the PB is so quick to notify about a new update and it can be pulled OTA, that their servers are getting crushed.

Me too. I even have a slow WiFi link. I did the update within a few minutes of announcement on other berry web site that noted it first.

Not normal. I did mine over the airport wifi on my way back from Vegas...

It took about 10 min or so.

I did my update when I got up this morning at 5:45. Took about 5 minutes to down load and 5 minutes to install/reboot.

Must be the servers.

It has to be the servers because I have good home wifi. It's almost done now but it's been an hour and a half!

It didn't take me that long it was pretty fast. I would say less than an hour.

I did mine last night and it took 10-15 mins start to finish.

But I think the OP is doing this for the first time, out of the box. When I first got my PB it took about 45 min total.

my battery tap for restart/ etc was not usable after I downloaded the update. I had to wipe and re-install to get things back to normal.

I have always been impressed at how long it takes the PB to download and install new updates. Five to ten minutes, and it's updated. I love it!

I'd have to estimate - it was definitely slow going so I just left it alone and came back - more than an hour for the download. Install was also not that fast since I was around for a bit while it was occurring and the progress bar was NOT racing across the screen.

Half an hour for me and I'm on a slower connection. First one though did take close to an hour, but that was on launch day and their servers must of had a lot of people downloading at the same time.

That sucks, you probably had a week connection. Also, despite the thing being out only 2 months, you probably had to download each previous update... although it was probably you're connection anyway. Each update hasn't taken me longer than 10 minutes at most.
