Hello all! I had a Tour and switched to iphone in Feb when it came to Verizon.That was a mistake. i missed my BlackBerry so much that i bought a Bold on ebay. When it arrives, how do i go about activating it? Will *228 work or will i have to call vzw? thanks!
I just recently switched from my Bold to the Fascinate. A few weeks later, I went right back to my Bold. Both times I switched, I had to call Verzion's 800 number to make the switch. The *228 would not work. Call 1-800-922-0204 and they will patiently walk you right through the switchover process.
There are several ways to do this, myself I choose to call the 1800 number and speak to someone because there are times they have to walk me through some steps with trouble shooting and changing some numbers around. It's never taken me longer then 5 minutes but I like knowing customer service is there to help when I need it. Makes things go smoother for me. And like you, I went from the iphone back to my Bold, won't make that mistake twice.
Power up the BB device and wait till it's all set and good to go
Call Verizon (from your landline, activation can't be done on phones usually if you are on them) 1-800-922-0204 press "0" then speak the word "Swap ESN".
