- The hybrid geeks of OSBB have been working together a lot lately, and a lot of our builds have been somewhat of collaborations, we've taken turns releasing builds (each person pretty much as time permits, we've all been pretty busy lately) and we've decided we've established too much fragmentation. Since all of us seem to be doing 9650 builds, it's kinda ridiculous that we make different releases.
Soooo rather than releasing .600 patches as originally planned for both http://forums.crackberry.com/f224/6-...9650-a-622186/ and http://forums.crackberry.com/f224/ki...9650-a-619140/, we combined our builds into what I'm currently calling OSBB 9650 524v1 - I'm sure we'll get a v2 and v3, and then when we get our long-overdue .6xx build we'll release a 6xxv1, then a 6xxv2, and so on.
All the kinks of community building aren't quite worked out yet. The naming structure hasn't been finalized (I'm kinda jumpin the gun here) and the actual name for this file is OSBBv7 (King compiled it, and 7 was next on his list of releases).
Anyways, here's the download link.
(This isn't in a dropbox so there's no 10gb download per day limit lol).
This build has files from the following OSes:
6.0.0.524
6.0.0.526
6.0.0.534
6.0.0.546
6.0.0.570
6.0.0.576
6.0.0.600
6.1.0.44
6.1.0.50
7.0.0.115
Help Me screen shows 7.0.0.115, myver shows 6.0.0.600.
Install over 524 or 466.

If you wanna join OSBB or just learn/help with hybriding in general, feel free to shoot any of us a PM or email or whatever. You can also join our CrackBerry group here: OpenSourceBB Group on CrackBerry and visit our forum at www.OpenSourceBB.com (we're in the process of getting some stuff with the domain and everything settled in so the actual url is different, but going to opensourcebb.com works still).Last edited by SCrid2000; 06-15-11 at 04:39 PM.

I hope you all enjoy the improved builds. I feel they are getting better as we are collaberating on them.
I have been enjoying making Hybrids individually for the blackberry community and am enjoying it so much more working on them as a team.
As the saying goes "It takes a community to raise a child", well I feel it takes a community to create a higher quality hybrid.
Thanks to the blackberry community for making OSBB hybrids some of the most popular.
As Shane said if you are interested in learning to build please contact us. We are looking for people to help with all model phones.

- Uh King can correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you can delete the Java folder on this one.
Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com06-14-11 12:12 AMLike 0 - thanks for this, gives me something to do tomorrow during work :P i'll let you know my findings in a day or 206-14-11 12:18 AMLike 0

- I installed this over .466 this morning and so far so good. Install went quick and I haven't had any random resets. I've been stuck at work in the basement most of the day but when I do have service the signal seems much more stable than the past hybrids i've been using (but those were all .524 base which may be why). I'll report back tomorrow evening with regards to battery life but so far things are looking good!06-14-11 02:22 PMLike 0
- well it let everyone know it will work over the 9670 , there maybe a easier way but here is what I did , downloaded 9650 then did ur build install , moved it to my desktop and then control panel uninstalled the 9650 then loaded up the 522 and then copied the java off the desktop version of the 9650 and did a paste over the 522 for the style and then all the other normal shrinking and stuff , and loaded fine , thanks alot for ur work , it is very much app ...06-14-11 04:56 PMLike 0

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com06-14-11 05:04 PMLike 0 - Great build so far. Good to see people working together to get the best stuff out. This is fast. I did have 1 question. I am on sprint. Anyone know the cod's that will add provisioning and prl update in the mobile network menu?
Other than that, thanks for the great builds.
I joined OSBB. If you need a sprint tester, let me know, I helped in the past, mainly king with his builds.
Posted from my BlackBerry using BerryBlab06-14-11 06:26 PMLike 0 - Oh yeah.
Reason I couldnt comment on the King 6 battery life was because I didnt have battery at the end of the day for it.
Finally back up to Battery par for me.

- Hey guys. I'm seriously going out tonight to buy a 9650 so I can try this hybrid. Seriously! Do I shrink the OS before or after installing the hybrid?06-14-11 10:40 PMLike 0
-
I usually do, Just to take out the extra fonts that I don't need.
I don't think King shrinks out the Languages because he knows that there are more than just English speaking countries in here.06-14-11 10:56 PMLike 0 - I shrink out fonts and media. Other than that, there's nothing really worth it imo.
And you sure you want a 9650? The 99x0s are coming soon.

However my earlier builds did not include the updated language files in them it wasnt until around release 4 that i started to include them.06-14-11 11:29 PMLike 0 -
And this way I get to know people in other device forums.
