How many of you are selling your current BlackBerry to reduce the out-of-pocket cost for the 9900/9930??? I have mine on ebay, ending tomorrow. I threw in a 4GB MicroSD card, my dock, 2 extra batteries (in addition to the current one i already have in it), the wall charger, original box, headphones (unused) and a brand new case... I let it go with $150 reserve, and BIN at $275... I Just wanted to come out of pocket as little as possible... I even went so far as purchasing another bezel, b/c my original one had scratches on it... I just wanted top dollar for the device, before the new one came out, and before depreciation kicked in on my Bold 9650... Who else is selling their current device to get the new one???

I have an upgrade due but i still want to sell my 9780 but i'm not sure if i should sell it now or wait until i get the new Bold, i don't think it would reduce much in price. any advice?
i say get rid of it NOW... there are many people on ebay, who unlike us, dont know anything about blackberries, release dates, etc. which will allow you to maximize your profit margin... as soon as people start to catch wind of a new device, the profit potential greatly decreases, which in turn will make you fork over more cash for the new BB.
well it takes some more time for the 9900 to be released, dont you need a phone for that time? O.o
i dont know if it'd reduce in price, but probably yes? i mean.. there'll be new blackberries available, so old ones should be worth less than what they're worth now

i'll just give it to my mom or so, if she didnt buy herself a smartphone by the time the 9900 comes out
Not me, keeping my BB 9700 as a backup and will pay full upgrade price at contract time (Hopeful of 200 and under) which isn't tiill Feb of next year. So should have some good reviews in after a few months.
Maybe even hold out for QNX....but, doubt I could wait that long.
Still love my 9700, even if I am on my 3rd one, lol!

yes i can get a Curve 3G of a mate for about �40-50 so i was thinking of using that until the new Bold releases and see if i can get at least �180 for my 9780 which is in good condition and unlocked.
well its kind of a crazy story... I work for Sprint, and we had a Bold there that wasnt working... I repaired it back to working condition, and my boss' daughter dropped her bold in coke, so she took the one i repaired... I took the coke-dunked Bold, and swapped it to my account, to use until the new one comes out (and im selling mine).
I was actually hoping to keep Bold 9650 for when the 9900 came out to make sure I have every program I need etc. Use it as a mirror of what is going to be on the 9900. As for selling, I'm sure I can sell it for something on Craigslist, or to a friend or ebay.. Not everyone cares about having the most recent device, many people actually just care about the price and that is all.
I mentioned to a friend that id give her my phone when the bold 9990 comes out, and shes held me to it. sooo as im nice (and shes very hot) im sticking to my nice guesture =P

I'm going to keep my 9700 as a back up phone then just sell my Storm 9500 that is my current back up now.
I've had my upgrade sitting for 5 months now so I won't have to pay for the 9900

Ya not sure there is a market for a Storm phone out there. At least not the first Gen model. I would feel bad asking $20 for it.
It still works great, never let me down & I looked on eBay a few days ago and a 9500 went for �60.00
Some people pay �20.00 for one that don't even work :|
But in all fairness idc how much I get for it as it will be no use to me soon.

As soon as 9900 hit the market in Canada, I will place my 9700 for $100 Canadian. I think its a fair price considering the phone is in good condition and can be sold for $150 anyway. I just need $100 for my 9700 to cover my contract termination fee.
So... When 9900 hits the market, I will sell my 9700 for $100 for sure.

I paid $50. It will sell for nearly $200 once I have it all said and done. I do this all the time. Works great!

Not me..im giving my 9780 to my other half as shes had her eyes on it for awhile now....she has the 9300 at the moment but prefers my 9780...ill be buying my 9900 outright ie sim free.
not selling mine as I will most likely be using it even when I get the new phone until the new themes come out before I start using it aside from playing around with it unless i just suck it up and use the original themes which i've hated every last one of them.
