I'm a long time BB user and would like to switch over to the iPhone, but the lack of GSM capability on the Verizon version is holding me back. I travel overseas regularly and want to use my phone when I'm there. ATT is not an option due to reception problems in western NY where we visit frequently. Has there been any news concerning addition of global-ready capability from Verizon?

It would only benefit Verizon if they made the the Iphone 5 a global phone...don't see why they would neglect to do so.

The VZW CFO hinted recently that the next IPhone will be global. The only thing he didn't sound certain about was whether it would be 4G or not.
By the way he more than hinted about the global capability
