So this morning i was talking to my 611 (tmobile) operators. Surprisingly she gave me a opportunity to pick at her brain and she was able to tell me about the release date for the blackberry Playbook 4g what will be february 24, 2012 unfortunately she was not able to give me any pricing information. But I think it's safe to say the way RIM is pricing is tablet competitively with Apple's ipad I said the price difference. Is anywhere from 130-200

TMO customer service reps don't know what's coming tomorrow let alone next year.

The customer service rep gave you the exact date, but didn't give you the time of day? What a terrible customer service rep.

You say you are a TM customer
I assume you already own a current PB
Currently you can use your PB on either 2G 3G or EDGE
Depending upon your plan, you likely are not paying any extra charges for benefit of using your PB, over your BB internet plan.
Why should you care if PB will be offered by TM, except if you want to bug your Apple owning neighbor

any devices which are 3g/4g capable could take months of certification and testing by the carriers. If we assume that the mobile playbook hardware is available, say, 6 months after the wi-fi one, then assume another 3-6 months of certification and compliance testing, then that estimate may not be far off.
Carriers are extremely paranoid of devices on their networks -- this is why we usually see wi-fi-only devices first.

Partly correct. Carriers are paranoid of devices that have not gone through extensive testing with their network. Any competent device company would perform these quality assurance tests before launch.

right, that's what I was implying

you'll note though that the playbook in its current form does not connect to the carrier's network, which is a clever workaround. in tethered mode, it gets a ppp connection from your phone, and in bridge mode, it gets your blackberry to do the driving for you.
