    So I have the latest desktop software on windows 7 64bit

    And I have a problem with the connection with my playbook. First I can't back up my device, it gives me an error telling me to check the connection with my playbook. And 2nd, I can't sync my media. It too gives me an error telling me to check my device..

    turn off wifi and bluetooth and try again .

    RIM is aware of this and a fix in under way.
    The BT has nothing to do with it.

    i had the same exact same problem windows 7 64 bit and i called Rimm tech support this is what they had me do . Turn off wifi and turn off blue tooth restart desktop manager then plug in playbook. and presto it worked . So try it out it works for me Ive done it many times now and it works you might have to try a couple of time but it works .
