Am I inviting trouble, wanting to switch between my 9700 and 9800 on a daily, semi-daily basis?
Is it more than just moving SIM and memory cards?
Will icons move? Will I have to re-sign in to apps each time?

not quite sure why you would want to...
you would have to swap sims, yes. memory cards don't need to be swapped, unless you want access to pictures / music etc... might be easer to have a memory card for each device, and just leave it in... your apps should be fine, as long as they are installed on each device... there shouldn't be any system changes, unless you have inserted a different sim other than yours into the device that you are not using at the time... finaly, you might have to detect the "new" device each time for your BIS account /Services to work properly...
