I have a pearl 8120 with v4.5.0.52, and an 8gb memory card. I want to download apps but I get a message saying I have less than 5mb memory, but the card is empty. So my question is: how do I load apps to the card and not the internal memory of the device?
    Any assistance greatly appreciated.

You can't. BB apps are loaded onto the internal memory that's shared with the OS itself. Pretty sure RIM has stated in the past that we won't be able to save apps to MicroSD due to security issues. Cynically I think this is just so we have to go out and buy new phones with more RAM so we can cram more apps onto our BBs which makes them fill up, get sluggish, and then we repeat the cycle by buying new BBs with more RAM.

So in short, you can't, we want it, RIM won't give it, you've got to delete some apps.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Thanks for that. I guess it is just a lame 'phone due to it's age. I have deleted all photos etc and managed to download the weather app, but when I try any other it's back to "less than 5mb".
