i have the 4.3.0.97 on my bb 8130pearl. For us cellular carriers is this the lastest update OS? I did check out their website and under their softwares they offer for the pearl a 4.3.0. And had lower numbers after the 0. I can't remember what it was but I will double check after I post this and see. May I get some help on this? I have been wanting to follow the blackberry 101 lecture to upgrade to latest OS.
I think I can handle most steps but trying to figure out the latest OS software that my phone and my carrier will allow and what is the latest OS is

Okay thanks! Think it would be okay then to upgrade my desktop manager software to the 4.5? Or would that effect anything?

USCC had the update on their website (BlackBerry download page anyway), but then it was taken down not too long after it first appeared. I updated but actually went back to 4.3 because of a few annoying bugs.

    Yes it is the same

for insurance purposes its not the same...

USCC has not official released 4.5 so for insurance purposes if you just put 4.5 on your BB you just voided your warranty

Well, they did for about day when all of this got started. You could use that as an argument.

And now RIM has released 4.5 which seems to work for most CDMA users and that version is 4.5.0.66. Although it still seems to be littered with bugs...

Might be why they pulled it

Out of laziness, where did you get a hold of .77? Do you have any problems with the media player? In .66 I am unable to stream Internet radio in the background. If I try to hide the media player, it stops streaming. Also, does the speaker phone activate for a brief period of time when answering a phone call?

In the Curve section there is an "official release" topic for .77

I haven't streamed radio with the media player so I can't answer that one

    Speaker phone I haven't noticed

No major bugs that I have run accross.

Worth the voided warranty, for now any way

Well, when I get back home I guess I'll give it a shot. The only thing I really want with 4.5 is HTML email. As for now the version of 4.3 I use is rock solid.
