    Went back to 5.0.3.13

The lag between opening windows in 6.0.0.73 was enough to make me downgrade

    Tour 9630 5.0.0.975 (hybrid)

I've installed it, seems to run fine. I only have a few friends on bbm so I haven't used to to actually chat yet. I notice no lag when opening though.

on the contrary, mine runs smoother than the hybrid bbm I had, and this release has no colour text changes of the .56 but has all the icons

Its hardly an upgrade. New icons and colours? Ohhh how amazing /sarcasm

The speed is the same for me.

I notice scrolling through contacts a breeze, compared to 6.31 leaked, where hour glass would bug me every time, but this one, is just smooth sailing.

i find moving away from the browser and going back to it speeds the process.

I have not experienced any lag, and it works with groups, which some of the previous leaks did not.

i have no lag so far. my biggest gripe with the previously leaked BBM 6 was the constant hourglasses and lag and the BBM contact pics disappearing on reboots and sometimes at random.

Those who love broadcasting, can you confirm if the 'd' and 'r' appears on broadcasted messeges?

have instaled it and seems to be running smooth and better then my prev 5.0.3. but to be honest, there isnt much visible change but i guess RIM was much more on fixing bugs rather then adding more features

so what changes have actually been made? I see no difference in the look except the smilie guy is bigger. they took away the custom colors for individual contacts.

also how do you get the custom sound for individual contacts? i can't get that to work

********QUOTE from Crackberry notice on BBM 6.....73********

You may not notice very many visible changes between BBM 5.0 and BBM 6.0 at this time, but stay tuned! For now, here are a few new things you might notice in this version:

    Updated BBM branding
    More "snappy" and responsive feel
Visual distinction of message drafts vs. sent messages
Any alerts set for SMS contacts are now preserved in BBM once an SMS contact is integrated with BBM
Invite a Text Messaging Contact -- it's now easier to search contacts
Location Search -- you can now search for a location before sending, similar to the Location Search experience via SMS
Location Sending -- you can now detect your location with cell tower triangulation or GPS
Appointment Sending -- sending appointment or calendar events is now a similar experience to that of sending an appointment via SMS

Again, no visual changes really but we'll take it. Also, although it's not noted in the change log -- we'd be surprised if there wasn't some stuff built in there for the PlayBook as well but that of course is just speculation.
