    It actually stops, says it can't perform the update at this time, then gives me the option to Power off or Try Again.

    I literally just took it out of the box an hour ago. Brandy-new... It's forcing the update.

    Not exactly a fix, but you could do it through desktop manager.. that shouldn't have any problems..

    I had the same problem. I eventually powered it off and restarted it. As long as it's downloading, you won't corrupt anything by restarting. As soon as it booted up again it had a great WiFi connection and it took about 5 minutes to download.
