So I been trying out a bunch of websites that dish up full episodes that also appear on Hulu. While this isn't an exact substitute for Hulu I think you will find more than enough of your entertainment needs covered.
Sites with Full Episodes / Videos that work with PlayBook...
I was also able to view video on the USA network site, but it was a bit laggy (the sound was not 100% synced with the video) and the video quality in "full screen" mode was not great. I did not see any option for an HD stream, but I only had a few minutes to play around with it. (Work intrudes.)
I've used to this the past couple of years since getting rid of my cable provider
Great link. Thank you!!
Mods: I know the site has sticky message threads, but there should be a repository for very useful links and apps like this for the PlayBook. With some of the major sources like F*ckflix and Scamazon ignoring us (yeah, juvenile...tough...growing older but not up), easily found links to things like these sites would be very helpful. Apologies if I have missed such as repository.
I'm using vplay.ro (Yep, a Romanian site but it has lots of shows (I watched How I met your Mother, Desperate Housewives, sex and the city, one tree hill; also found big bang theory, californication and some others). You can find most series there...No movies so far though
That disableMycable site is a GREAT find! Plus remember folks you can use PlayOn! They even have a pretty good deal right now where you can get a free Roku with purchase of a lifetime membership. It's about 80 bucks. (or you can pay 4 bucks a month)
whatever happened to this report? this was posted by numerous tech blogs after playbook was launched and we lost the ability to play in the browser. Something is going on, there are apps for Hulu, netflix for less popular devices and devices that haven't sold as much (windows phone, roku player, etc..etc..) i'm not quite sure why everyone is shying away from the PB, something is up!
NICE find! I think this site is even better than the other one as this takes you RIGHT to the episode. At first I thought it might be a pirate site, BUT it seems to link to the videos on the different network sites.
