has anyone else encountered this problem? the clock on the banner of the homescreen (also available when you swipe from the upper right corner) is not working right. it gets stuck at the time when the device is waken up.
I can't believe that no one else has replied with this issue. Maybe covered in another thread.
For me it take a restarts of the Playbook to correct the clock on the home screen. The Date & Time Preference shows the correct time. Just appears to be a home screen display problem.
ok, i was wrong. i am seeing the same clock problem as you are. i was on a plane today and had to actually turn the PB off (first time since i bought it 5 days ago). when i turned it on during flight to read Readers Digest, it had the time at which i turned it off, and took a while to get back to the correct time.
I thought we were living in the future and all, but both my motorola phone, and my satellite receiver have similar problems. I never know what time it really is unless I check the analog one on the wall in the kitchen!
Haven't experienced the clock freezing issue (yet).
However, I did set up an additional clock in the app (Eastern & Pacific Time). When clicking the "Set as Home Clock" button to change time zones, the clock on the home screen stays on the time zone previously selected (no change at all).
No biggie, as the time zone can easily be changed in the 'Setup' Menu, but what is the 'Set as Home Clock' Button for, if not something like this?
I am having the same issue, it seems the clock freezes from when you wake it up. I contacted Blackberry support they thought it was from an app I downloaded but i uninstalled it and it is still doing it. I hope they can figure this out soon, it is kind of annoying.
