This has prob been discussed before but RIM on twitter were a bit confused by this one, I have a 9300 on T-Mobile UK (OS 5) and a few weeks ago the trackpad seemed to have a bit of a problem being used if the sun was out, it randomly shoots around all over the place, Works fine indoors and at night.

Just wondered if there is a fix for this or its just a hardware issue and i will have to endure the dread of waiting for T-Mobile repairs for a couple of weeks.

PS: I tried adjusting the settings in "Screen & Keyboard" but still does it.

Um ... it's an optical trackpad so it makes logical sense that the sun would affect it.

    This is not a defect.

I have noticed change of trackpad behavior under sunlight in a hot day. Haven't experienced any jumps but trackpad becoming less responsive than usual.

Mine first one did this real bad outsie but was fine indoors. Then slowly but surely it began to mess up indoors too. Had to have it replaced.
