Ive got a few questions regarding upgrades:
    1) when did AT&T change the upgrades from 18 to 20 months?
    2) how do I go about getting an early upgrade?

I'm hoping to 'upgrade' to either the Bold Touch or the Torch 2. Previously when I wanted to upgrade early I'd pay the two-year price but I'd forgo the mail in rebate.

Depending on how far into your contract you are and how happy the rep seems to be that day will decide me thinks.

Officially it was changed, but it depends on when your contract started.

On Friday, I emailed AT&T asking for an early upgrade on one of our lines (both are iPhone). My wife's line, is the primary line and has a 6/4 upgrade date. My line, the secondary line had an upgrade date of 9/4. I asked them to have our 9/4 line with a 6/4 upgrade date, and they said sure - and to reference the notes when we go to upgrade. The only catch was I had to buy the phone(s) from AT&T. So when the new BB phones come out this summer, we'll be ready!
