Honestly, if I hadn't received the letter talking about an early upgrade to a smartphone...I'd still have my pre-naming Alias. I really like my BB but it wasn't something that had really honestly crossed my mind to get before, but I'm glad I did.
I had an iphone and got so fed up with ATTs service I came to verizon with whom I already had a data card, got the curve and haven't been happier. Nothing but a BB will suffice from now on.

I had a Treo and loved it. Then it started acting crazy. Restarting at will. Locking up. I had enough of the mind-of-its-own smartphone. I needed a change.
Wow if I didn't have a BB, (that would cause a crisis ) I would pick something like the HTC. There is no comparison between the two, but at least I could do a lil sumthin' sumthin' with it. lol
If I didn't have a blackberry, I'd probably still be using my old motoV360. Those phones are awesome, I would still use mine from time to time if I wasn't stuck with the BB data plan.

Thats why I got rid of my Treo too. I went from Treo to enV to voyager, but always missed my smartphone, and always wanted a blackberry. The Curve and the New-Every-2 verizon price was right on time lol

After going through several Palm and Windows Mobile based devices, I'd have to say that, if I didn't have my Blackberry, I'd go back to 2 tin cans with a string tied between them.
No Blackberry? Well, first, because coverage is crucial for my job, I'd have to stay with Verizon. So, no iPhone for sure.
Having spent some serious time with the LG Dare, Voyager, and enV2, I can't take any of them seriously.
I've done my time on Palm.
I guess, since I really like the keyboard, I'd just have to hold my nose, put up with WinHo, and get a MotoQ9.
Actually, on second thought, I'd get a nice, bullet-proof dumbphone (VZW has one) and pair it up with a nice iPod Touch. Its WiFi would let me deal with emails anywhere WiFi existed, and the dumphone would be able to make calls in environments that would destroy my Curve.
If I didn't have a BB, I probably would not care what type of phone I had. I never got into the "smartphone" revolution until I got my first BB in Oct 2006, then it was all over for me just having a phone that would god forbid be used for what it was intended to do......make calls.
