Soon please!, I wanna try out the OS 6.1 but i think i will miss the OS 6 Icons since they're not the same, The new one looks good, The Old 6 looks good too, To be honest, I liked the OS 6 icons better.

Don't worry, the 9780 has good hardware specs, 512 MB of RAM, which is not lagging much behind the future devices that will be released which have 768 MB of memory.

When the issue was what devices will get 6, we had an official note from RIM on that (officially making the 85xx and 95xx out of the look).

Did we have such thing happen for 6.1? Just curious on that.

I can't wait. I love having a new device that allows for these type of upgrades. I hated it when I bought my Tour only to have OS 6 released soon after.

The reason as to why I am getting this and no holding off for the new touch bold is that I do not like the 9000 form factor and love this one. I may be the only one from the posts I read :P

And can anyone tell me if my decision to get this one is wrong? Should I really wait? The touch screen is an added bonus, but not a crucial element for me. The contract will be a 2 year contract. Will the 9780 hang on for 2 years?

I used to have the Torch and I find that 90% of the time I'm still using the trackpad because navigation is more precise. I swapped it for the Bold and don't have any regrets.

I'm sure it will be more similar to the "6.1 light" the new curves will get. Most notably missing is the dedicated GPU from the current series of devices.
