I have just upgraded my data plan to include 500MB on my Bold 9700, maybe its a bit of a stupid question, but does BBM use up my 500MB or would that be separate?

I think if u send about 150 BBM messages a day, at the end of the month ur data will be around 10-12MB.

Unless you are streaming radio or downloading podcasts on the mobile network, you should be fine with a 500 MB data plan.

But be aware that data used by BBM including that use while transferring files/sending pictures DOES come out of your 500 MB. It's not separate.

The largest file that can be sent or received each time using BBM is 6 MB. When camera pictures are set at medium image size, each one tends to be around 100 KB in size.

Yes, BBM does use up your 500MB data. However since it is just messaging it will use a very small amount, probably maximum of a few MB

BBM uses data, in the range of bytes. Each character is a byte, each emoticon is probably 10 kb. Just providing some insight.
