How many people are excited for FaceBook 2.0 ??? I know I am, its about time the FaceBook app gets a whole new look and a very big update on things. Tell me your thoughts on FaceBook 2.0 .

i am not sure whether to be excited about this, RIM is a disappointment when it comes to updgrades, they fail to suprises us with a feature rich upgrade everytime. and us complaining falls in deaf ears cos i doubt they even take our concerns into consideration, its been months and months of us users wanting a simple facebook chat yet nothing have been done, but u find other vendors doin fb chat apps. its jus useless to get excited about RIM updates.......

Interested to know what will be in and/or what the next Facebook for BlackBerry will be like? Hot off the tip-line, we�ve been sent these three images of what are said to be screen captures for Facebook 2.0! BlackBerry users have been quite in a fit that the Facebook app hasn�t been up to par when placed against the versions for iPhone or Android devices. Luckily, Facebook 2.0 looks to leverage the playing field by bringing equality to all. Here are some of the specs:

• Facebook Chat
• UI Refresh
• View friends� profile info, pages and friends lists
• Improved core app integration

Facebook 2.0 is said to have an official target release date of May 2011, with an even earlier Beta 2 release projected for March 2011. So, who is excited about finally getting the FB Chat in the official app?

Looking at that middle screenshot it looks very much like the iPhone and Android apps (only a few years behind them) but it does seem to be missing the new Groups feature.

I hope that gets implemented before it's release

im not sure if their servers are getting hammers but i keep getting an internal error 500 when i try to download teh beta.. pissing me off.

You have to be a tester in the beta zone. ATM their servers r getting overwhelmed with ppl trying to d/l it

It seems to be BIS I don't see them going backwards in that manor seeing as that is their method for push notifications an the new chat addition

lol im actually more mad at myself.. i actually was able to download it the first time, when the news first hit CB. then i never got a keycode. so i thought i'd uninstall it and download again to see if it gets sent. of course.. trying again to download it hit the server wall..

finally was able to download it.. great changes..

Got that right. I spent about an hour trying to join the Facebook Beta, finally got it. Then took another half hour trying to download the dam thing because of the servers. Got it though, and so far, love it. It's such a huge improvement over the last version.

so far the beta is pretty sweet! This is quite the jump forward for RIM in my opinion
