funny, 3 days ago i did a update via blackberry desktop and it updated my 9700 bold to OS6, i used it for one day and then i got a sim not provisioned 2 error with SOS.. so i thought it might have been the update, so i downgraded to a earlier one and tryed that.. nope , the sim not provisioned 2 still there, but the OS 6 build is gone, i tryed to update it again and again... its not there ?? any sugggestioins?
Strange? I am running it on Sasktel & it works real well.

With the same OS on your BB you'd be running just as well whether your carrier had officially released that particular version or not. All OS's are made by RIM. Your carrier's network is not specifically optimized for one OS version or another.

Yes, just download the OS from elsewhere. Rogers has released 448 now too, or you can try the higher version 461 that Telus has released.
You just have to delete the Vendor file before loading to your device.
If you go directly to RIM's website the OS6 upgrade doesn't appear you have to go directly from Bell's site and then Bell redirects you to another RIM page then you can download it.

Why does Blackberry's site ask so much information before allowing for the download?!
No idea. I've always entered my truthful information. I assume they have some legal reason to ask, but 99.9% of the time do nothing with the information.
