RIM's first fiscal quarter doesn't start till March, which happens to be when the first calendar quarter ends.

so it might be later than sooner...

I would rather RIM release a playbook that is completely ready for the public market instead of giving it to us now with unfinished/lack of apps, etc.

cause once the reviews come in and if it's not up to par, news will spread with bad publicity and it will be hard to recover from that.

I agree with you but I'm just curious where you get the "later than sooner?" As far as we can tell from the article, it could get announced March 1st or 31st, or anywhere between.
