I spoke to a verizon rep yesterday about the 4.5 and they said they are informed that RIM is saying install at your own risk so you will void your warranty if you brick your curve. I asked them when they were going to have the 4.5 version available for download.

YES that is why it is called a BETA. You are not supposed to have it and you are definitely NOT supposed to call and tell Verizon that you have it either!!!!

I had 4.5 on my 8330 for a while and it worked nicely, but only gave me HTML email as far as real useable upgrades go. Then I had to FRU my Curve and left 4.3 on that for now.

If even if you tell VZW that you have 4.5, they will document it and most likely void the warranty. They will also tell you that it not released and it not supported by VZW at this time.

Scroll up and read the above posts.... THERE IS NO OFFICIAL 4.5 OS FOR VERIZON AS OF RIGHT NOW. ANY VERSION YOU FIND AND INSTALL WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY WITH VERIZON.
