    Most of the free apps for the BB torch 9800 are usless without a data plan! Most of the free apps were geting from other OS's for free are to be paid for the BB OS.

    If you purchase one from ATT, they require a minimum data plan.

    Well... Half of the often vaulted "hundreds of thousands" of iPhone apps are fart apps, and I'm guessing those don't need a data plan to work.
