i've got 1 week left of work, then i'm off to the beach for a week before i start the police academy on the 18th...

my question is ... do you use your BB out on the sand? if so, how do you protect it? I thought about a ziplock bag and tryin to find one of those silica packs..

...i want it out there for music but i dont want to risk my curve

...might have to let the ipod take the heat/salt/sand ... i care much less about it than my curve

If I'm on the Gulf Coast, I would use an Otterbox and a few small silica packs

No. When I'm at the beach it is usually with friends
and or family. My BB is the last thing on my mind at
    such times.

    Little tip....

When you get to the academy... don't put M&Ms in your extra mag holders which are upside down on your Sam Brown for convenent dispensing. The tac's have seen this trick before. =)

I try to keep my Berry out of the heat, water and sand... and the sun screen is oily. Basically an all-around "no go" for me!! It can stay inside and I can enjoy the beach without the Berry!

When I am back inside sipping on a cold one... then I will check my Berry

I made a spur of the moment beach trip a couple weeks ago. I was staying at a buddy's and my car (where I keep my otter box case when not being used) was in the shop. So I double bagged it in ziplock bags and berried all day without a problem thanks to bluetooth. I kind of extended my weekend by a day so I would have felt gulty not having it. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

I went to the beach this past Friday, and I didn't take my phone.
I was way too worried about sun/heat exposure and sand.

So I opted not to take it with me.
Besides, we can all survive at least a few hours without a Berry.

Of course the first thing I did when I got back was check it.

We go to the beach often. Everytime, I have pulled the sim card out and switch to an old Sony phone. I wont take any chances getting sand in it! And with my luck, it would be dropped in the ocean. Not going to go there with my Curve. That way, I can enjoy my family and the day and not worry about my Curve.
