Blackberry Balance will allow devices to partition personal and business data and effectively create two phones in one.
This is a program that will allow corporate customers access to business-related data and email while keeping the Web browser and an employee's social networking and photographs separate. The software would effectively create two phones in one for users, allowing them to segregate personal and business usage and relieving IT departments of the burden of managing more information than it needs to.
Carriers are now testing Balance, and the solution is expected to roll out within the next two months, according to the company. Balance will also be available on the PlayBook, RIM's tablet computer, expected to launch at the end of the fiscal quarter.
