VZW has been doing a lot of the buy one get one free Blackberries. Is it safe to assume that you must activate each phone including data plan? Or could you keep one for a spare having activated only one?
Both phones must be activated on qualifying lines (eligible for upgrade or new lines) with data.
You can activate one on your line, the second on another line, remove it immediately and deactivate the old ozone on the second line. Than you can keep the phone as an extra but you burned through an upgrade. If you added a line to et the buy one get one free promotion, you'd be responsible for the new line.
All you have to do is except the T&C's of the new phone but you can activate any phone to the line. You would have another line though with a contract and an ETF.
