Correct. This will be the 3rd update since the Bold's launch.

Are there any differences in the Mr releases? I just got my Bold last week, and will change it for the new one (under 30 days) if so

This is a software maintenance release, not a new device. So your Bold will be able to use this maintenance release as well.

Hopefully it's a higher build than what Sprint released...

Thanks for the clarification. I am still new to the Blackberry scene, and just want to figure out what is what.

398? Sprint released 415, I'd think VZW would be in the same ballpark

The 398 actually had addition features like PTT and supposedly better reception in the radio file than 415 does.

I would still expect a higher build than 398, but that's just a guess. Which is kind of the theme of this thread.

If vzw got .398 w/PTT and they have not released it but Sprint has released .415 I gotta believe that there was something in .398 that was not acceptable to vzw. Therefore, they went back to RIM for more tweaks to the OS. By virtue of the fact that Sprint has since, since vzw got .398, gotten tested and released .415 I gotta believe that vzw's release will be .42x, .43x or higher. I can't believe that vzw has been sitting on .398 for this long and has not released it, I know they are slow but they can't be that slow! Sheesh.

    Just my $.02 fwiw.

You think Verizon is slow, try Nextel. Waiting for 5.0 on my old 8350i was a killer. I finally got 5.0 on it when Southernlinc released their version. I ran that for several weeks and then decided to get rid of my 8350i. The week after I got rid of it Nextel officially released their version of 5.0.

Let's hope whatever it is that VZW releases that it has a better radio than 415...something like the 398 file or better. Who cares what NUMBER it is? The hybrid makers can give me bigger numbers than VZW or SPRINT.

We want something that works well.
