Anyone out there have any luck with using radioio.com or the io2go app to listen to the Bubba the Love Sponge show on their BB? I'm not having much luck so far. If I go to the m.radioio.com page, it won't continue beyond the four button start page. I can see it start to open the linked page for Login or Listen Now, etc. but then it quickly returns to the 4-button page. I've downloaded the io2go app also, but it doesn't seem to have any of the BTLS stations listed.
I even tried the BOLT browser and setting the BB browser to firefox or IE with no luck. If anyone has gotten BTLS to stream, please let me know what you did. Thanks.
I also have the same problem. I was able to get it to work about 3 times. I was able to leave a message with radioio on an 800 number. The guy called me back within a half hour. He told me that blackberry's were having trouble on the mobile web site. He said they are trying to get an update to the io2go app to put the Bubba links in there. I kept messing around with it. Then I was able to save the web address to a bookmark in my BB browser when it worked. I tried to post a url in this post but it says I must have 10 or more post to link a url. give me you email and I can send you the link.
The down side is that it looks like it won't be free for too long
According to Bubba, Channel 1 will always be free with the FM replay and filler bits. Channel 2 will have their exclusive Radioio show that starts on Monday as well as possibly archives, on-demand and downloadable shows and will be a pay channel after March 1st. Hopefully they will include their music Audiophile channels and higher bitrate in the BTLS subscription.
I was going to add the Sirius Internet listening to my account, but now that they dropped Bubba, I'll spend that money on a Radioio sub instead.
I have an iPhone 4. Been using m.radioio.com bookmark instead of app to listen to BTLS in the afternoon while driving in and around Toronto area. Find using that works better than the app for some reason. Last couple of days it has been loosing connection numerous times. Could be due to various issues. ie...Radioio servers, internet connection, etc. I know that they are still trying to work the kinks out.
Don't know if something changed on their end or if it was what I did. Whenever I tried clicking on that link, it would Time Out. Today, I copied it and made a bookmark and when I clicked on the bookmark, it asked to open or save and opening it started the streaming. I'm guessing it was on their end.
Thanks again, Sparky. This really makes my day and relieves some of the irritation that I'm getting from Sirius now that they cut my content from 55 hours/week to 20 and maybe less with Howard's new contract...
I am also not able to stream the show. I tried copying the bookmark and I get connection timed out every time. If anyone can get in, please help!
Try copying the link and making a bookmark, then see if that will work. Mine will work from the bookmark but not clicking on the link.
I've also noticed it will only work for me when I have a wifi connection, otherwise it just says Buffering... forever. I'm on a 9000 on T-Mo so I only get EDGE, doesn't seem able to handle it. I know that doesn't help on your Curve, just mentioning it.
Bubba said by March, they should have the downloadable show ready as well as On-Demand streaming. I'm looking forward to the dload.
