i currently have the storm 2 and the screen is shattered and am looking into purchasing a new tour 9630 but i have a question how the texts are shown are they shown as a single text per person with all the info lined up or are they just in the order as you text

Depends which OS you run, in 4.xx they are lined up in order of text.
If you update it to 5.xx it is threaded arranged by person with all the data within.

If you are purchasing it from a retailer it probably has OS 5.0 already on it.

Depending on your carrier although most have had an OS 5.0xxx update of some kind by now then as one other poster said, If you have OS 5.0 on the Tour you would have threaded SMS and all data within the threads of each person you are texting.

There are existing Tours that don't have 5.0 loaded as the OS. An update is relatively easy, and will give you the threaded SMS- chat style.
