I installed OS 6.0.0.333 on my Bold 9650 a few days ago and today I went to add some music to it, but Desktop Manager wouldn't recognize the device. I plugged it into my computer and the computer picked it up, but when I opened DM, it said it was disconnected. And yes, I tried all 3 options on my Bold (USB, Media Sync, and Charge Only) but neither one allowed the device to connect.

Is the reason why this is happening because the OS I installed is a leak and therefore not recognized by Desktop Manager?

Any help would be appreciated.

Can only speak for myself, yes they work just fine as long as you follow the instructions.

Go back to DM5.. DM6 is nothing but bad in my opinion.

I have had no issues using DM5 and OS6 Leaks for the 9700.

Does a program like bbsak (BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife) recognize your BB when hooked up?

DM works fine with my phone running os6 (DM 6). Use wifi-sync do sync my music now, would never downgrade back to DM5 like Fubaz suggested.

I've had no problems with DM6 either. Try plugging in your phone, don't choose any of the options on your berry, and then open DM. That's how I do it and have had no trouble updating my 9700 with OS6 leaks.
