i had a couple messages deleted on my 9700 but my wife was still able to pull them up somehow.
Now im on a 9780 and i want to avoid the same disaster..
Is there a special keystroke to show the deleted messages?
How can i make 100% sure the messages are really gone?
Is a complete wipe of the BB the only solution?
Agreed .. though it doesn't answer the question (for which I don't have an answer either) if you don't want it read, don't write (type) it down. I just opened the folder view for messages and I don't see a "deleted" or "trash" folder.
You could try using the memory cleaner.

I haven't been able to call up deleted messages.. but I am aware if you "save" a message and delete it from the inbox that can still be called up from the saved folder.. I can't see how this is possible any other way.
Your sent messages are usually saved. If you are messaging about your wifes surprise birthday party you don't want her to know about, do a search in messages for the person you sent it to, it will come up and then delete it! Then it is gone. (Works even if it is not the party you are trying to meep secret)
