I bought my 9780 on November 11th Thursday i used it Friday morning to Monday night, phone was amazing dont get me wrong, built quality i found was poor my End key was clicking weird. The Rogers sign rubbed off. Rogers plus would not return the phone they told me it had physical damage, so i called Blackberry Tech Support got a Case # and they returned it with no questions asked lol.

I am now back to my Torch which is laggy for some reason. My Blackberry messenger contacts didnt update on my torch so i had to re add everyone again. I most likely will go back to the 9780 it was a good phone, but i also like my torch cant decide what phone to use.

Toss a coin , as you said you can't decide as both phones are good but weigh up pro's and cons of each device then you will probably be able to decide. I bet your head says Bold but your heart says Torch LOL

Talk about the unfairness in this world!!! I'm dying for this phone, if the only thing objectionable was that the end key "sounds" weird I'd scoop it up in an instant!!!

OK, I'll breathe deeply....it will release on AT&T any second now...my red 9780 is on its way....soon....

Wonder if you got a defect, you're picky, or you're just not used to it. I can't imagine a Bold feeling cheap but I suppose weirder things have happened.

I was informed yesterday that AT&T is going to carry the 9780.
    Has anyone else heard that?
    I am extremely disappointed

Torch isnt even in the equation...Iphone 4 if you want touch screen. 9780 Is the best smart phone on the market for over all wins in things getting done.

My 9700 had a clicky end key that would do it for a few days and stop for a few days..drove me nuts so i know what you mean.

I have tried the i4 for 8 weeks now and it is not bad but it is a time killer screwing around on the web...That is the only thing it does better than the 9780, period.

    9780 here i come!!!

I just received my 3rd 9780 and each and everyone has been perfect when it comes to build quality. Both pre-release units were identical to the Rogers unit received today

I exchanged my 9780. the right bezel on the screen was not stick to the body firmly. i can even press it and i can also see the wires inside through that tiny gap. I tried to return it to roger plus, they didn't want to do that. It was a long story, anyways, i returned the defective unit, and got my current 9780, im totally happy with this one

Rogers plus has bad customer service, it took them 30 mins before they returned mine :S , Any how i havent bought a 9780 as of yet, i am still using my Torch which is wobbley and doesnt work all too well. I've had 2 defective phones 1 that i kinda fixed by pushing the bezel back in as i could see a gap on the left side. Second on as per my first post i glady returned it. Im going to use my Torch for a few more days see if i can like it again or maybe sell it get a 9780 haha.

Whenever a new BB is released I come to expect threads and posts about defects.

This forum was running rampant a year ago with these when the 9700 was out.

my 9780 is on the way from Bell!! My Torch had a funny sound when I talked and I was not sold on the longevity of the slider. Besides... I always found the slider out. 9780 form factor is perfect.

Iam not walking out of the store until its exchanged, they have two options exchange it or I will move all my services to bell, this means: Cable, Internet, Home phone, and two celluar devices currently off contract, so unless they want to lose thousands a year they should change it. They get the price of 3 phones in the 3 year contract so I dont see why they would not exchange it. I am very firm when it comes to these things

[sarcasm] OMG you mean the fabled "best BB out there even when compared to the newer devices" 9700 had build issues. You must be smoking something[/sarcasm]
