are you streaming music for an extended period of time? That will eat up the data.
I'm almost always in a wifi zone so I usually cover around 50-100 mb a month but I have an unlimited plan grandfathered in too so I don't have to worry

Last time I called ATT (about a week ago) and got put on hold it still had playing in the background of the hold music that you could get an unlimited plan, ask your service representative for details.

I just looked at my data usage since April and while my usage has increased, quite a bit I don't see how you're pulling that in 12 days. I'm on my Torch constantly surfing, Google Maps, BBM, youtube, Streaming audio etc...
What I did notice is a usage difference from my Bold 9000 and my Torch. If anyone can figure that one out, I'd love to know because I'm not doing anything different.
My guess is, even if you're using the phone the same, the webkit browser is downloading more than the old browser of your previous Blackberry. I know that I'm leaning towards full sites more often than I used to. With my Bold I almost always went with a WAP site because the browser was so terrible at rendering it.
It is not at all difficult to exceed 200 MB/month. I can easily use 200 MB/day. I do not tether, but I stream Pandora and subscribe to 5 podcasts, each around 70 MB with new episodes weekly.

If you've only got such a small increase in data usage, you're still not doing much.. 150MB to 300MB for streaming/youtube/surfing the internet.
I'm so glad that I'm grandfathered in to the $30 unlimited data plan...
Love the unlimited data plan. Though I'm usually in a wi-fi zone so data on the network is comparatively minimal. With unlimited I don't have to worry.
