So I plugged my curve into my computer and opened the Desktop Software for the first time in months and it said I can update to 5.0.0.1000
Has this happened to anyone else?

Very intriguing. I wonder if that's just the Package Version. I check the Virgin Mobile Canada BlackBerry page, and their latest OS for 8530 is 5.0.0.337. It's probably an update but isn't displayed yet on the VMC BlackBerry site, or just some kind of glitch.

Yah I checked that too and didn't find anything. I had put another companies OS onto my blackberry because the Virgin Mobile one is outdated. My phone is just restoring all of it's data now so we should see in a few minutes what the difference is.

But no one has yet to find the original carrier that's release this.

I've searched online and it's no where to be found. If you want to download it I guess you'll just have to plug your phone into blackberry desktop software and see what happens. So far it works wonderfully, no problems at all. And the problem with entering bedside mode while charging has been fixed
