Hey

i am new to the site so sorry if i have posted in the wrong section or this has allready been discussed, I've had a quick browse and can't find anything

i have the torch and is only a few weeks old, my friend who also has the torch has downloaded the new facebook but whenever i go to download the new version it won't let me

I've looked in app store...nothing so tried:
Facebook --> options --> check for upgrade --> it said there is upgrade available, i follow link, click download and get the message: Notice
Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Facebook.

Its drivin me crazy!!! Any help would be great

Have you tried uninstalling FB from your torch, doing a battery pull, then going to the app store and seeing what version it gives you? What version do you currently have?

1. from the home screen, type in "application"
2. click on options -> application management
3. scroll down and highlight facebook
4. press menu key -> delete
5. Restart Device
6. go to web browser -> http://www.blackberry.com/facebook
7. Click download now

You should be able to load 1.9.0.20 from there

I have a bb 9650 and when I attempt to get on the site it also says my bb is not compatible and list only the old version of 1.8. OS is 5 and service is Verizon. Any ideas?

I had the same problem yesterday, and I waited about an hour, then I was able to. I thought maybe the servers were being hit hard...

ALT + R + S + T

It refreshes everything n the update will come up.

Sometimes appworld only let's a certain amount of people update in a period of time.

You will get notified when its your turn.

in app world i had to click the reinstall option then cancel out of the reinstall, back out of app world and go back in then i was able to DL 1.9.

but this should work for you

i have uninstalled, battery pulled and still no luck! Maybe i shud try again later?!

Maybe they do only let so many download at one time!

If anyone else has suggestions throw them my way!!! Thanks again guys
