Well all the apps on my homescreen are, BBM, crackberry launcher, SMS, Contacts, Weathereye, stormslider, volume, internet, facebook and options.

Address book, calendar, home email, work email, browser, Google Maps.

This is on a Pearl 8100 with an OS 5-like theme where the maker was able to fit 6 icons. Normally, Precision-like themes (including the real one for the Pearl 3G 9100) only have 5 spots along the bottom. But all they have to do is size them down just a little bit and 6 can easily fit.

Nothing. I use Quicklaunch and the built in keyboard shortcuts. Makes life so much easier. The only thing on my homescreen is my weather app, clock, and the basics like notification icons, date, signal.
