When I installed OS6 for the first time on my 9700 last week a video came up at the start up. When I reboot now I dont see that video anymore. Is it stored any where else?

If you want to get rid of the videos to free up some memory use BBSAK to remove the following COD's:

    net_rim_bb_medialoader_toolkit_480x360_9700_01.cod
    net_rim_bb_medialoader_toolkit_480x360_9700_02.cod
    net_rim_bb_medialoader_toolkit_480x360_9700_03.cod
    net_rim_bb_medialoader_toolkit_480x360_9700_04.cod

Sample music, you can delete it out. I have a whole running thread on deleting CODs out of OS6 to free up application memory --> http://forums.crackberry.com/f95/del...00-os6-545525/

Here is a great post by Pete6

There are basically two goals when removing cod files from an uninstalled OS.
    1). to gain memory.
2). to rid your phone of stuff you don;t want or need.

Both goals must leave you with a working phone.

It is desirable to be able to put back the cods and restore the missing functionality should you mess something up.

For starters I would remove some or all of these files.

    net_rim_bb_medialoader_video_480x360_03_c.cod ; promo video
net_rim_bb_medialoader_music_480x360_03_c.cod ; sample music but not ringtones
    net_rim_bb_mediaOTA_toolkit_360x400_9700_01.cod ; intro video
    net_rim_bb_mediaOTA_backgrounds_480x360_03_c.cod ; wallpaper

There are two programs that are very good at removing unwanted cod files. My own program, CrackMem will get you quite a bit of memory but I have not updated this for some time and you will still need to remove the four files above manually.

ShrinkAOS is a more developed program than CrackMem but I have never seriously tried it since I can manage without it.

There are two more programs that can add or remove cods from a phone. Again I wrote one called CrackUtil and there is also BBSAK. Once more BBSAK is a more developed program than mine as it came later and I also stopped deveoping my program.

All these programs are free and easy to use.
