Wassup everyone! switching it up a bit here. I am posting v3.2 this time around. As you all know, 9700 recently was blessed with an os6 Leak! (6.0.0.344). So what does this mean for BDHP for os 5 users? heres 2 or 3 scenarios:
1. BDHP will stop supporting os 5 devices after this version (doubleback only sports a 9700 so you know where the focus is)
2. Doubleback will continue to build for os 5 but , builds will not be released as fast
3. We can have another builder who would like to join BDHP to build for os 5 devices [under our name] in order to meet demand of other non-os6 eligible devices. (if your interested PM me or Doubleback for details)
that is the situation folks. We are really looking for option 3 because DB is building for v4.0 etc from now on. Don't be sadden though, we will always provide support!
as the saying goes: What does BDHP stand for? Best damn hybrids, period!!!
PSA: John did create this hybrid, i just compiled the files into a installer since his were tied at the moment!
PLEASE READ:
BDHP only supports these devices when used with these bases only. You are free to try different bases if you wish, however keep in mind support will not be provided. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ensure you are selecting correct installation path when running installer!
View version supports for models below
Sample installation path is as follows:
for 32 - bit users
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9700AllLang_v5.0.0.979_P5.1.0.177/Java
for 64 -bit users
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9700AllLang_v5.0.0.979_P5.1.0.177/Java
Make sure the build path goes all the way to Java directory before installing!
1) Remove any installed OS and install base OS
2) Download BDHP v3.2 Installer
3) Run installer, and set installation path
4) Make sure to create a backup
5) Wipe device using BBSAK or similiar tool (optional)
6) Run loader.exe and install
7) After installation do a battery pull
Changelog:
* Added 6.0.0.333 (9330 files)
* Added 5.0.1.41 BBM
* Help Screen now reads 6.0.0.31 (So now you can ensure that you are loading the hybrid and no more redundant posts about it )
* Added support for 8900 device
Note:
For those of you that missed previous releases, or are new to BDHP, I have started releasing a mini hybrid. Instead of downloading the hybrid in its entirety, I am only including files changed. Please do not be alarmed when you see the file size as being 6.67 MB, this is indeed the full download. This results in faster download and installation speeds, which keeps everyone happy
Yes, this also means ONE installer for ALL devices!
Just an FYI folks, this is an authorized release. This was still built by me, just didn't have time to compile it into an installer or any of this jazz as I'm focused on getting a OS6 hybrid out there - so Suprah was willing to help out (thanks to him for helping out). Hope everyone enjoys!
Anyone else having trouble with the installer? Not the first time I've loaded up a hybrid, I've checked the installation path and thats correct goes thru the installation, shrink a os comes up the file size is real small - 44 something but nothing is loading. Any others with this issue?
Starting from the beginning, if anyone else is having this issue any help would be great! Thanks
Been running this since 3hours after it was posted. THE only concern for me is battery life and SMS lag, and so far battery is great and SMS hasn't lagged on me yet *knocks on wood*
It does run smooth and seems faster, but we just cant be getting faster after every release and hybrid ... ****, it would be the fastest device by now
But for those who are wondering...
-- Bedside mode bug is still present *there's an easy fix for that as many may know
-- Media bar problem is still there *had to switch from portrait to landscape and back and forth to see it
-- OpenGL bug I see people talk about, I do not play games that much, so I cant comment
-- Apps I'm running work fine: faceboook BBM meterberry berryweather berrybuzz berrypopup google maps google voice and player for youtube
When I tried to install with this new install path, all I got was a another java inside the java folder. Is this what it's supposed to do? I also checked the modules and didn't see any new hybrid files.
