    Damn!

I think the best thing to do is a battery pull. As mentioned in many threads, the leaked OS6 has huge memory leaks, but it varies for most people.

It's not really a problem whether it's OS 5 or 6. This is a leaked OS and, because of that, there's a large memory leak (even though not all leaked OSs are like that). There are some OS 5 builds that have memory leaks, too.

Just did my daughters upgrade to OS6 and she had 53.4 MB before a battery pull and now at 73. I was so shocked at how easy this upgrade was. She was running .602 or whatever the last official ATT was. I have to say though she doesn't have many apps. Twitter, fb, bbm and poynt few others. No themes which is good for her. She doesn't care to change themes. I will definitely keep posted on her memory. I too am curious to see if it leaks.

What do you mean ... back to 5? How long since your install?

I had a memory leak for the 1st 3 or 4 battery pulls. It is HIGHLY recommended to do multiple battery pulls in the 1st few days of an OS upgrade. This USUALLY fixes most memory leaks.

For those saying "its a leak, there's ALWAYS problems". That's just not true. Some leaks become official builds. Some don't. Some that DO still have issues with memory leaks and other things. T-Mo's .714 was notorious for having all sorts of issues. So please stop with the ignorance. I don't say that to be spiteful. Just stating facts.

If the OP is having that much of an issue with memory on their 9700 I would recommend a complete wipe with BBSAK and then a clean install. I would also recommend backing up JUST contacts and personal items before wiping by using DM. There is a great thread explaining most of this. DO NOT backup 3rd party apps. Re-download these apps after the fresh install.

Menu key function didn't work in most apps, so I bailed. Was 14 hours since the install and a reinstall didn't do anything to solve it.

I have the same memory leak! I am going to stick it out for a little while and see if I can't satisfy my urge to find and fix it. I'm an early adopter, I'll make do. Will never look a gift horse in the mouth.... Just my take on it. But it is frustrating as all heck for sure!

I've had OS6 running since 330am and almost no memory leak after the battery pulls. I'm thinking wipe and install following the "What to do" thread is best.

I'd recommend you take a look at the thread posted above.

    Look into these:

    ShrinkAOs
    Manually delete .cod files

    You'll gain serious MB.
If you do everything right. You should have more than 100 mb.

    Good Luck
