- I have read lots of threads. I have reset my 8530 multiple times. I have even downgraded the OS. I am back to running 5.0.0.973 on Verizon. Ive used Jl_cmdr and restored using desktop manager. I cannot connect to the internet or send service books or anything. I don't have any option to surf the internet without wifi and I cant use the email setup wizard. Under the routing table I only have Wifi connections and registering does nothing. I can only make calls and receive texts. I need help. what happened?10-31-10 03:29 AMLike 0
- Log into Verizon's BIS site with your BIS ID and password, then resend your service books.10-31-10 04:57 PMLike 0
- I do have a data plan and I couldn't do the service books because my bb wasn't registering on the BIS network. I did figure the prob out though after many hair pulling hours. Vzw tech support said it was 'interference'....right. No, for some reason the phone lost the MIP and SIP username. Type ##000000 and all that was in those lines was '@vzw3g.com.' Added my phone number and reset the phone and badabing. Don't know what happened or why they got reset. Now it all works great and vzw is sending mea replacement bc they can't figure that out. I wasn't about to wait two days for shipping without the smart part of the phone! Haha. Had to figure it out somehow.

Thanks a billion man. Your solution did it for me. Verizon could not figure it out, so they were already trying to sell me a "certified pre-owned" BB 9550 at $170.11-17-10 06:23 PMLike 0
